Inscribed statue base. Two sockets on the upper surface were used for the adjustment of a bronze statue.

The base supported a statue most likely depicting Athena and had an inscription stating: [ΑΡΙΣΤΕ]ΑΣ ΚΑΙ [Ο]ΦΣΙΟ[Σ] Α[Ν]ΕΘΕΤΕΝ [ΤΕΙ ΑΘ]ΕΝΑΙΑΙ ΑΠΑΡΧΕΝ ΟΑΘΕΝ. [ΚΡΙΤΙ]ΟΣ ΚΑΙ Ν[ΕΣΙΟΤΕΣ] ΕΠΟΙΕΣΑΤΕΝ, meaning "Aristeas and Ophsios from the deme of Oas dedicated this statue to Athena as an aparche. It was made by Kritios and Nesiotes".

The municipality of Oas was located in Mesogaia in Attica, the region where modern day Spata is and it belonged to the Pandionis tribe.
